How every pair is made
Cut the wood
Wooden circles cut and sanded by hand, one at a time, until the edge feels smooth.
Draw the motif
The design is pencilled onto the raw wood. This is where every segment and petal finds its place.
Paint by hand
Acrylic in layers, no stencils. The wood grain and the brushwork stay visible.
Seal and assemble
Matte or gloss varnish to protect the colour, and the gold hook set last.

One table, wood and a lot of brushes
I started painting fruit slices on wooden circles as gifts. Every pair still comes off that same table: I draw the motif, paint it in acrylic, seal it and set the hook by hand.
